It's Monday and it's almost the end of term. This is something I keep telling myself. My friends with children out there may not be looking forward to this weekend quite as much as I am, but there's no hiding my joy!!
There is something about Christmas that just sweeps you off your feet isn't there. For me it's 2 classes of coursework with a hand in date this week, ending 4 classes of topics and preparing to have Michael Bublé singing in my classroom. Still, it's a step up from Justin Bieber....it's a bit like the 10 days of Christmas for me at the moment:
12 Year 12's crying
11 Teachers shouting
10 Pieces of coursework
9 Exam timetables
8 Mock psychology tests
7 Forgotten registers
6 Sociology essays to mark
5 Year 13's writing
4 Days left
3 Songs by Bublé
2 Stupid memes
and an Observation by my HoD
You might snigger but it's not a word of a lie :p
Got to say I'm feeling the grumpy cat vibes...
It's working. Mostly. Aside from injury! Lets not talk about that.....it involved a shoulder mount and a significant loss of dignity. Not that I had a load to start with 0_o
So, it's dark, dank and somehow we've still got to get our asses into gear and keep the calories looking reasonable (which believe me, when there's mince pies around is VERY hard to do!!).
What am I using as motivation today to keep me going this week?
