Apologies! It's been another busy week, this week saw a lot more exciting things happening....
My pink ink finally came in :D
It looks awesome on the black tee's, of which I'm currently trying out some nice new performance type material!!
I've decided to go for the super-heroine theme on the cover of my fitness diary (keeps track of when I work out, what I'm planning on doing, what happens if I don't get the "time" to do the planned workout, weigh in day, progress photos etc) which I'll upload some photos of to show you all later!
Anyway. I decided on Wonder Woman.
The first draft really didn't come out too well....in fact, she looked a bit like some sort of Dali painting. It was the nose. So I worked on her. In fact, I worked on her for hours...
She is currently displayed as a proud centre piece. At first I didn't think I'd get her to look the way I wanted her to, but, my skills lay in painting rather than sketching and once the colour started coming on to the skeleton she started taking shape.
Often we start things and they REALLY don't go the way we think we will.
Sometimes they just look a bit ridiculous really and you wonder why you're bothering at all.
Then you put more time in. You hone what you're working on. You find something that WORKS for you. You apply your skills to it. It starts taking shape.
The same can be said of any fitness plan, weight loss plan or life choice.
It doesn't always start out like we'd expect, but if you just keep going it'll take shape. Sometimes you'll take a wrong turning and have rectify a mistake, but you'll keep learning.
In other words: NEVER GIVE UP my lovely fitfam. Even when it feels hopeless, even slow progress is progress. You'll ALWAYS be progressing, whether in weightloss, definition or just knowledge of what works or doesn't work for you!
Anyway, the Friday blog here is ALWAYS a pole blog, and I shan't disappoint.
This week I got a rather gorgeous photo of a complex looking but surprisingly easy (and comfortable) move, the "knot".
You can see why it would be called a knot when you look below. It's funny where you can get your feet when you try ;)
Here's the original...
A couple of weeks ago I did my first ever pole photo shoot and the photos have made for a gorgeous new banner!!
As a teen I worked for a little while as a model (one thing a LOT of people didn't know about me :p) and I worked with several photographers. I have to say, hands down, Barney was the nicest guy to be photographed by! He normally does weddings and birthdays, so if you're in need of a friendly photographer who does really good quality work please swing by and contact him (I'm not being paid for this btw :) I just think finding friendly people who do a good job is something to celebrate!).
This week has been a fabulous week and next week should be even better - the wristbands I ordered should be coming in! :D Whoop. Now, time for some Turbofire ;) (the cat is already hiding....he knows I'm a little dangerous when I'm hopping around!).
What are you looking forward to this week? What was the highlight of your last week?
