Since Friday is a pole blog day, and this Friday is Good Friday I've decided to focus on the amazing things that my journey and progression through pole has given me to aid me in the resurrection of my SELF. Since Easter focuses on the idea of rebirth and resurrection, I seem to have timed my jaunt into exploring my past just at the right time. The revelations and unveiling of the past few days has given me an insight into all of the possibilities the future holds in store for me, as though in a new life.
In order to look forward, sometimes it's handy to look back to see what we can learn...In turn, I've decided to look back over the year where I introduced a "hobby" that has taken on a life of it's own to look at 5 good things that have come from it!
So, here we go - five GOOD things that pole-ing has given me!
1. A sneak peek at my abs. I SWEAR they're under there....I even saw them a little bit in some of my progress photos this week. How exciting is that?!
5. A passion. If you're a regular reader, you know I have the attention span of an autumnal leaf...
oh look, sparkly lights...
Did you see that cat? He was doing the funniest things.
Wait, hang on.... ;) But seriously. I have a very short attention span. That applies to every part of my life. Especially my workouts. Weightlifting has been the only thing to contend with pole, and I have even had breaks from that - but never, ever from pole. Pole has lit a passion in me. It's shown me what I'm capable of. It's shown me what I can work for. It's shown me that there are awesome communities out there. It's shown me that everything I do can feed into an end goal, that our lives are a composite of the actions we undertake. It's shown me how to escape. In my eyes, there is no greater gift.
