So today I was thinking about what I'd do for my Friday feature and I decided that since I've had a bit of a crackerjack week I want to look at celebrating achievement where we've made progress! All too often we sweep things under the carpet, or focus on the stuff we can't do. So what I want YOU to do today is think about ALL of the amazing things YOU've done this week. Even today - I bet you'll have more than three things that felt GREAT!
My pole blog never managed to emerge this week, it was a VERY busy week. At some times I felt like I was simply not making any progress doing ANYTHING! I think anyone who met me Tuesday evening would attest to that mood (more about that in my pole blog :p) but if you look for it, every week you're going to be making more progress than you think is possible.
This week my big achievement was this:
This is a big thing given a few months ago I was protesting that I was scared of being upside down.....ha. How things change ;)
In fact they change so much I'm planning on being up at 8am tomorrow so I can go running. On a Saturday. I'd never have seen this one coming tbh!
Anyway, in the spirit of looking at progress lets take a look at the yoga poses I've been trying to nail......
Crab....it felt a lot better, but after looking at the photos I felt a little deflated. Still, there is definitely less bending at the elbows and more bend in my legs, so it's coming along. A little slowly, but these things DO take time!!
I have also found an amazing resource for Yoga - whether you're new or trying to find new material to keep you going, or just want a nice flow for your morning routine. This site has FREE streaming Yoga videos, which allows you to tap into a load of professional routines put together by people who want to keep everyone flexible!
It's easy to use and I've found my ideal morning routine through using this site! (click on the pic for link!)
Anyway - it's time for me to forage for some food ;)
I'd love to know though - What have you achieved this week? What have YOU done to make YOU feel proud?
