The Challenge

Starting at Queen Elizabeth Park near Portsmouth on Friday 27th July we will camp the night ready for our 6am start. Friday is designed to have festivities and food, so don't feel too sorry for us just yet!

At 6am we'll be heading off, starting our HUGE 62 mile walk, from one city to another. We must stay within 100m of each other at all times and we'll be walking whatever the weather (ok, you can start feeling a little bit sorry for us now!).

At every 10km mark is a checkpoint, where we'll be able to refuel, get our support team to be nice to us and change our socks and shoes. We won't be able to spend long at each CP though, as the Trailwalker challenge has a time limit of 30 hours!

50km in we'll be stopping for a hot meal and a little bit of rest. If you have our GPS tracking signal you'll be able to see us stopping and resting our feet before we plough on for the final 50km.

We're aiming to do this in under 27 hours - we hope that you'll be thinking of us as we arrive, possibly looking rather bedraggled at Brighton Racecourse within 30 hours of setting off from Portsmouth!

With the elevation map I've included on the right hand side of this page, you can see we'll be working hard for the money you've sponsored us with - so be nice!! :)

The hills really are huge....and when you've been walking for 20 hours they seem to appear bigger - how odd ;)

Also a good test of sanity methinks
